Tony Hawk officially acknowledged his all-time favorite band, and it turns out that they weren’t even featured on a video game soundtrack.
Tony Hawk’s Soundtracks for Pro Skaters
For those who spent endless hours attempting to pull off intricate feats, the soundtrack from a line of computer games featuring the famed skateboarder also functioned as a kind of daily soundtrack.
Players never appeared to tire of hearing music from bands like Goldfinger, Primus, and the Dead Kennedys, no matter how many times they attempted to land a 900.
The original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series would stretch across four games. There also were spinoff versions including Tony Hawk’s Underground and Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland that all had their own unique (and memorable) soundtracks.
The Band of Tony Hawk’s Choice
The Tony Hawk video game character was never able to skate to his favorite band, for some reason, even after all those releases.
These days, Hawk and fellow skateboarder Jason Ellis co-host the Hawk vs. Wolf podcast. Actor Keanu Reeves and other members of the band Dogstar have joined the pair.
