CHICAGO BULLS COACH BILLY DONOVAN’S 2-WORD RESPONSE AFTER 132-92 BLOWOUT LOSS TO PISTONS

Chicago Bulls coach Billy Donovan’s 2-word response after 132-92 blowout loss to Pistons

The Chicago Bulls suffered a devastating 132-92 blowout loss to the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night, and Coach Billy Donovan was left speechless.

When asked for his thoughts on the game, Donovan’s response was brief and to the point: “Not acceptable.”

The Bulls’ lackluster performance was evident from the start, as they trailed by as many as 30 points in the first half. The Pistons’ offense was on fire, shooting 55% from the field and 45% from three-point range.

“We got outplayed in every aspect of the game,” Donovan said. “We didn’t defend, we didn’t rebound, and we didn’t execute on offense.”

The loss drops the Bulls to 10th place in the Eastern Conference standings, and they will look to bounce back on Friday against the Boston Celtics.

“We need to regroup and refocus,” Donovan said. “We can’t let one bad game turn into two or three. We need to come out with more energy and more urgency on Friday.”

The Bulls will need to put this embarrassing loss behind them and move forward if they want to make a push for the playoffs.

NOTES:

– The 40-point loss was the Bulls’ worst of the season.
– The Pistons’ 132 points were the most they’ve scored in a game this season.
– Bulls guard Zach LaVine scored a team-high 22 points, but shot just 7-20 from the field.
