The 22-year-old aims to be the first WNBA billionaire

Angel Reese sets herself a mammoth target to accomplish in her WNBA career as the 22-year-old Chicago Sky star reveals she wants to be the first billionaire to come out of women’s basketball.

With deals and endorsements through the likes of Reese’s, Reebok, Cash App and McDonalds, the youngster is well on the way to the highly ambitious target, which is rarely accomplished by professional athletes.

For example, in basketball only the Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan, the Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James, Magic Johnson and Junior Bridgeman have accomplished the feat as per Forbes.

Even soccer’s Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were the most famous athletes in the world at their peaks and they didn’t come close. Ronaldo finished 2024 as the highest paid athlete in the world.

All the same, Reese sets herself a new mountain to conquer after establishing herself as one of the prime talents in the WNBA and emerging as an influencer through her podcast show, as well as attending the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and CFDA Fashion Awards.

“I’M GOING TO BE A BASKETBALL PLAYER, MODEL,” Reese wrote to Instagram Stories. “AN INFLUENCER BUSINESS WOMAN, FASHION GIRLIE, PODCASTOR, UNAPOLOGETIC, TAKE CARE OF MY FAMILY/FRIENDS, SET RECORDS.

“CREATE HISTORY. BE THE FIRST, SET TRENDS. WIN AT EVERYTHING IN LIFE ETC. MY GOAL IN LIFE IS TO BE A BILLIONAIRE.

“AND I WILL WITHOUT A DOUBT SO YES IMA FOCUS ON IT ALL EQUALLY WHILE LEARNING & GROWING BUT ALSO PULLING OTHERS ALONG.”

Reese really does have a monumental challenge ahead of her to accomplish the feat of becoming a billionaire, with her estimated net worth currently hovering around two million dollars.

However, she does claim the reports are “way off” so her true value is currently unknown. The Sky star currently earns a salary of $73,400 with her team, based on her rookie contract.
