The Dutch athlete Femke Bol is expected to astonish the sporting world once more this Saturday at the London Diamond League.
Bol has cemented her place as a top track and field athlete with a remarkable 400-meter hurdles performance at La Chaux-de-Fonds, clocking an incredible 50.95 seconds.
With her incredible effort, Bol not only broke her own European record of 51.45 seconds from the London Diamond League the previous year, but she also now holds the third-fastest time in the history of the women’s 400-meter hurdles.
“I believe that I am in my prime. Both the training and the competition are going nicely. Going into the Olympics, I feel stronger than I have ever felt,” she admitted at a London Diamond League news conference.
The race is further intensified by Dutch runner Cathelijn Peeters (54.31 seconds), and American athlete Shamier Little (52.39 seconds, personal best).
With a solid personal best of 53.71 seconds, Jamaican athlete Shiann Salmon is another competitor to keep an eye on in this highly competitive race.
Femke Bol is one of the favourites for the next Olympic games as well as the Diamond League because of her remarkable form and unwavering drive.
