Alabama football has added another weapon to its wide receiver room ahead of the new year. Isaiah Horton, a redshirt sophomore wide receiver who spent his first three seasons at Miami, told On3 he would transfer to Alabama with two seasons left of eligibility.
Horton, a former four-star wide receiver out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was the No. 372 player in the 2022 recruiting class and visited the Crimson Tide on Dec. 19-20, a source confirmed to the Tuscaloosa News. Horton is the sixth player to transfer to Alabama, joining former Cal long snapper David Bird, former Colorado School of Mines punter Blake Doud, former Florida defensive end Kelby Collins, former Utah cornerback Cameron Calhoun and former Texas A&M offensive lineman Kam Dewberry. Horton was the second player to commit to Alabama as a transfer on Dec. 21, joining Dewberry. A 6-foot-4, 205-pound receiver, Horton gives Alabama a true outside threat in 2025.
After recording 14 catches for 174 yards and a touchdown in his first two seasons with the Hurricanes, Horton was Miami’s No. 2 receiver in 2024, finishing second to Xavier Restrepo in receptions (56). He was fourth on the team with five touchdown receptions and third with 616 yards receiving. Horton had one 100-yard game for the Hurricanes in 2024: an eight-catch, 108-yard performance against South Florida in which he had a 6-yard touchdown grab from Cam Ward.
