Newcastle United will compete with Crystal Palace and others to sign 24-year-old Brazilian winger Luiz Henrique from Botafogo, but Fiorentina will aim to win the race.
According to a report by Corriere dello Sport, as relayed by Sport Witness, Luiz Henrique is the subject of interest from Newcastle United. The Botafogo winger is also a target for Crystal Palace, with the Brasileirao Serie A club demanding around €30 million to part ways with the 24-year-old attacker.
Meanwhile, another report by Corriere dello Sport, as relayed by Sport Witness, has suggested that the South American winger is a target for Fiorentina. The Lilies have “now got a rush on” to beat the competition to his signature, with the Serie A club hoping his “desire swings their way and he rejects other clubs”.
Luiz Henrique and his Botafogo boom
Luiz Henrique has made considerable progress since joining Botafogo from Real Betis in February 2024. The 24-year-old winger has taken to life in his homeland like a fish to water, helping Botafogo win the Brasileirao Serie A title and the Copa Libertadores.
Henrique’s progress at Botafogo has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. A move to the Premier League might be on the cards for the Brazilian winger, with many English outfits, including Crystal Palace and Newcastle United, setting their sights on him. Meanwhile, Botafogo will demand around €30 million to part ways with him.
