The Florida Gators indoor track and field team wrapped up Day 2 of the Razorback Invitational at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with two wins and four top-five finishes on Saturday.
While SEC rival and host Arkansas led the two-day meet with 15 victories, Florida’s six wins earned them the second-most by an SEC team, underscoring their strong performance.
At the heart of Florida’s success was star athlete Jenoah McKiver, who seized the world lead in the men’s 400m with an extraordinary time of 45.19 seconds. This performance not only secured McKiver’s world-leading mark but also placed him at No. 5 in UF history, further solidifying his status as one of the top athletes to watch this season.
McKiver’s dominance extended to the men’s 4×400 relay, where he anchored the Gators to victory with a 44.18-second split in the final leg. Alongside Rios Prude Jr., Wanya McCoy, and Malique Smith Band, the Gators clinched first place with a time of 3:03.78, defeating Arkansas and Georgia. Florida also fielded two additional teams in the race, finishing fifth and 11th.
On the women’s side, Gracelyn Lieseth delivered a personal best in the shot put, finishing third with a throw of 16.82m, which surpassed her previous record of 16.15m and ranks No. 9 in UF history.
In the women’s mile, both Bethan Morley and Tia Wilson made their mark in UF history. Morley finished seventh with a time of 4:32.88, landing at No. 4 in the school’s record books, while Wilson placed 14th with a time of 4:36.43, earning the No. 8 spot in UF history.
McKiver’s world-leading performance and the Gators’ continued dominance at the Razorback Invitational signal a promising season ahead for Florida’s track and field team.
