**BREAKING: Alaska Aces Welcome New Head Coach, Ready to Ignite the Rink**
Anchorage, AK – The Alaska Aces, the premier ice hockey team in the state, have announced the appointment of their new head coach, John “JD” De La Salle. The 45-year-old veteran coach brings a wealth of experience to the table, with over 20 years of coaching experience at various levels of professional and junior hockey.
De La Salle, who was most recently the associate head coach of the University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves, is thrilled to take on the new challenge. “I’m honored to be joining the Alaska Aces family and can’t wait to get started,” he said. “The team has a rich history of producing talented players, and I’m excited to work with them to build on that success.”
The Aces have struggled in recent seasons, finishing at the bottom of the league standings. However, with De La Salle at the helm, fans are optimistic about the team’s chances of turning things around. “JD is a top-notch coach with a proven track record,” said Aces general manager, Mark Lichtenwalter. “We’re confident that he’ll bring a new level of energy and enthusiasm to our team.”
De La Salle’s first task will be to assemble a coaching staff and start building a roster for the upcoming season. The Aces will hold open tryouts in July to identify potential new players. With De La Salle leading the charge, fans are eagerly anticipating the start of the new season and what promises to be an exciting year of ice hockey in Alaska.
