After a dispute with the local government, the Salford of Super League have agreed to a 12-month extension to stay at their Salford Stadium home.

The team had stated that they were in danger since Peel Holdings’ remaining 50% ownership of the stadium had not yet been acquired by Salford City Council.

Additionally, they asserted that they were unable to maximize stadium usage profits due to the terms of the current agreement.

According to a club statement released on Thursday, the extension was granted under the “existing terms”.

However, in order to include some additional matchday revenue, the club has proposed a working proposal with co-tenants Sale Sharks, according to managing director Paul King.
