On Friday, the NFL penalized the Atlanta Falcons $75,000 and head coach Arthur Smith $25,000 for breaching the NFL’s injury report policy earlier this season.
The violation concerned running back Bijan Robinson and an unspecified sickness prior to a Week 7 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 22, which the Falcons won 16-13.
With Robinson’s ailment, Smith and the Falcons should have added him on the injured report. In that game, the rookie first-round pick had only one carry for three yards and played only 11 snaps.
