December 26 – Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel revealed Jaylen Waddle is nursing a high-ankle ailment, putting the wide receiver’s availability for Sunday’s big game against the Baltimore Ravens in danger.

Waddle seemed to suffer the injury during Miami’s 22-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. For the Dolphins (11-4), who have won five of their previous six games, he had one catch for 50 yards.

“He’s had other things that other players might take longer to recover from,” McDaniel told the Miami Herald. “In those situations, I have a lot of faith in him.” He’s an extremely tough player who has overcome some adversity.”

Waddle, 25, has 72 catches for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns this season in 14 games (all starts). Since being drafted by Miami with the sixth overall choice in the 2021 NFL Draft, he has 251 receptions for 3,385 yards and 18 touchdowns in 47 career games (all starts).
