Jarome Luai, a three-time premiership winner, has agreed to join Wests Tigers on a five-year agreement beginning in 2025.

Luai debuted in the NRL in 2018 and has been in 107 games for the Panthers in six seasons, including four consecutive grand finals from 2020 to 23.

“We are super excited to announce the signing of Jarome for the 2025 season on a five-year deal,” Wests Tigers coach Benji Marshall said.

“His experience as a genuine premiership-winning playmaker will be invaluable to us and our club’s future.”

Meanwhile, the Dragons have signed former Warrior Ronald Volkman to a contract until the 2024 season.

The 21-year-old joins the club from the Warriors, where he has played five NRL games at five-eighth and halfback over the last two seasons.

Since joining the Dragons from Manly in 2022, the 25-year-old Tonga international has appeared in 39 games.

In other news, the Dolphins have added Wests Tigers speedster Junior Tupou to their future roster.

Tonga International, 21, will join the club on a three-year contract in 2025, following the arrival of English centre Herbie Farnworth and former Bulldog Jake Averillo for the 2023 pre-season.

Tupou, according to Dolphins chief executive Terry Reader, will provide even more depth to the roster as the Dolphins continue to establish themselves in the NRL.

“He is one of the most exciting young backs in the NRL at the moment so we will be excited to have him join our evolving roster,” he added.

“Junior is a strong runner out of the back of the field who will provide us with plenty of punch.”

“At his age he also has plenty of room and time to improve his game, so we see him as a really valuable addition to the long-term future of the club.”
