The Philadelphia Eagles, despite an 11-5 record and a Super Bowl participation last season, are what the youngsters would call awful right now. A win over the dreaded New York Giants in Week 18 would not address this team’s problems, but a defeat would be another concerning entry into the season’s second half.

Philadelphia Eagles: 4 bold predictions for Week 18 vs. Giants

The Eagles entered their Week 10 bye with an 8-1 record. They kept rolling in Week 11 with victories over the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills, although luck played a role in both of those triumphs. Four losses in five games followed, with the exception of a victory over these very Giants. Even then, an eight-point victory over a Tommy DeVito/Tyrod Taylor-led team was hardly cause for celebration.

Meanwhile, the Giants have nothing but pride to play for this Sunday. And, while a loss would only aid draft pick positions, Big Blue hasn’t given up on head coach Brian Daboll after a nail-biter against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 17. Expect New York to compete hard in a late-season NFC East clash.
