Customers at legal online sportsbooks will notice that the Las Vegas Raiders have been in Sin City for four seasons and are on their fourth head coach – not exactly a model of consistency. So, who will be the next Raiders head coach?

The present one, Antonio Pierce, is serving as an interim head coach. This begs the question of whether owner Mark Davis will keep Pierce, who was the linebackers coach, or start again by hiring someone else.

The case for Pierce is that he took over after the club went 3-5 under John McDaniels and finished the season 5-4. The Raiders finished the season as +8000 longshots to win the Super Bowl at BetMGM Sportsbook, giving them an overall record of 8-9 in the AFC West. Pierce’s career included wins of 30-6 over the New York Giants in his debut game as head coach, 63-21 over the Los Angeles Chargers (the highest points scored in Raiders franchise history), and three of his last four games.

Pierce’s resume, on the other hand, is a little bare. He was a reliable player for the Washington Redskins and the New York Giants (2001-09). His only experience as a head coach came at the high school level. Pierce did hold key coaching duties at Arizona State from 2018 until 2021. He was named Raiders linebackers coach in 2022 before serving as interim head coach this season.

USBettingReport.com, your source for information on legal sports betting apps, assessed the prospective Raiders head coach candidates in 2024 and ranked Pierce as the favorite at +350, or a 22.2% likelihood. Here is the whole list:
