PITTSBURGH, PA — If Justin Fields, the current Chicago Bears quarterback, is available for trade this summer, the Pittsburgh Steelers are among the betting favorites to land him.

With the top overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, many anticipate the Bears will select USC quarterback Caleb Williams. Despite a good finish by Fields and the team as a whole, it appears the two sides will part ways this offseason.

The Steelers are among the teams vying for the former first-round pick. The Steelers have the fourth-best odds to acquire Fields before the NFL Draft, with +1200 odds, according to IllinoisBets.com.

They are tied with the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings and trail the Atlanta Falcons (+475), New England Patriots (+900), and Las Vegas Raiders (+900).

Steelers made a colossal mistake not trading up for Justin Fields in 2021

The Steelers haven’t said which way they’ll go at quarterback this offseason. There are undoubtedly questions about the team’s plans moving forward after maintaining Mason Rudolph as their starter despite Kenny Pickett’s return from ankle injury.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Bears are expected to demand a second or third-round selection in return for Fields. If the Steelers believe the price is reasonable, they may decide to pursue the Bears quarterback.

Fields finished the season with 2,562 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, as well as 657 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. He has 2,220 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in three seasons.
