Isabella Strahan, 19, is now undergoing treatment for a malignant brain tumor.

Former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan has faced many difficult opponents in his football career, but none more so than his 19-year-old daughter Isabella.

Isabella boldly opted to reveal her battle with medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor, on Good Morning America on January 11, 2024, with her father seated alongside her, holding her hand for support.

Isabella, who received her heartbreaking news in late October during her freshman year at USC, initially mistook her regular headaches for vertigo. But as her condition deteriorated to the point of difficulty walking and nausea, the adolescent realized something was wrong.

“I awoke, perhaps at 1 p.m. “I dreaded getting out of bed,” Isabella told GMA’s Robin Roberts. “But I was puking blood.” ‘Hm, this probably isn’t good,’ I thought. So I texted [my sister, Sophia], who informed the rest of the family.”

Her relatives encouraged her to seek medical help. Following a battery of diagnostic testing, the Strahans learned that Isabella had a rapidly growing tumor in the back of her skull the size of a golf ball.

“I don’t really remember much,” Strahan admitted after learning of Isabella’s condition. “I just remember trying to figure out how to get to LA as soon as possible.” And it doesn’t feel genuine. It just didn’t feel genuine.”
