ARIZONA (AP) — The Arizona Cardinals will be looking for a few excellent players in the early rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft, but none may be more notable than Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr., who has recently declared for the draft.

Before officially announcing his decision, the lengthy message thanked colleagues, family, and fans.

There was some uncertainty over Harrison’s future as rumors of a NIL contract offering him several million dollars to return for one more season surfaced.

Cardinals prospects: Evaluating Tink Hence's development

Harrison is now on his way to the pros following a distinguished time with the Buckeyes. He received unanimous All-American accolades and the Biletnikoff Award, which is given yearly to the nation’s greatest receiver.

Regardless of what happens with Marquise Brown in free agency, the Cardinals urgently need help at receiver. It’s intriguing to think of a young Trey McBride at tight end, a healthy Michael Wilson, and a combo of Harrison Jr. and another wideout to build around Kyler Murray.

Sure, there are other excellent receivers going through the draft, and fans should welcome names like Rome Odunze and Malik Nabers, but it’s clear that MHJ is the golden ticket in the desert.
