Michigan’s Ann Arbor (AP) – In front of the Fab Five, Michigan defeated Ohio State 73-65 on Monday night behind 20 points from Olivier Nkamhoua and 18 from Terrance Williams II. The victory ended Ohio State’s five-game losing skid.

It was the first time the five members of Michigan’s Fab Five had gone to an Ann Arbor basketball game since they were players there more than thirty years ago. While coach Juwan Howard led the Wolverines, Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Ray Jackson, and Jimmy King sat together courtside.

Rose stated that they were present to assist Howard during his difficult season as a coach and as a person recovering from heart surgery.

With 58.1 seconds remaining, Nkamhoua made a baseline jumper to give the team a 69-63 lead. Williams then secured the victory with a 3-pointer from the corner, cutting Webber and Rose’s lead in half.

McDaniel, who did not play against Maryland on the road on Thursday, led Michigan (7-10, 2-4 Big Ten) with 15 points in the end. Nimari Burnett scored seven points and pulled down ten rebounds.

Ohio State (12-5, 2-4) with 19 points from Bruce Thornton. Felix Okpara contributed ten points and nine rebounds, while Roddy Gayle Jr. supplied twelve points.

Of Michigan’s 37 points in the first half, 20 came from Nkamhoua and Williams combined. Williams and Nkamhoua shot 8 of 15 from the field, while the other members of their team only made 6 of 19. Ohio State’s field goal percentage was only 32%.
