Alabama This is an additional opportunity to have some significant guests in town so they can spend time with the coaching staff and the university. Following Florida’s inaugural Junior Day, two verbal commitments were made, giving the Gators a total of three in their 2025 recruiting class. Examining the names anticipated to be in town this weekend is Swamp247.

Florida will welcome two guests in The Swamp on Friday to kick off their weekend. Myron Charles, a four-star defensive lineman from Port Charlotte, Florida, has visited the UF campus a few times so far throughout his recruitment process, but the Gators were not included in his initial top 12 list. It will be an opportunity for new defensive line coach Gerald Chatman to try and make a move, but the Gators will go into this scheduled visit with some ground to make up in his recruitment over a plethora of others. Orlando, Florida Vernell Brown III, a four-star wide receiver for Jones, is another guest scheduled to visit the Gators on Friday. Given that his father played for the Gators in the early 2000s, he is a legacy player. His family consisted of other Gators as well. Despite the strong familial ties, Brown has made it clear that he wants to allow others an equal opportunity to recruit him and to let his recruitment process unfold. After visiting Texas A&M the previous weekend, he is scheduled to visit Florida State on Saturday. Aside from his historical ties, Brown is a big time talent who is highly sought after by the coaches after a stellar junior season.

5-star expected to visit Florida this weekend

This coming weekend is the Florida Gators’ second Junior Day of the year. A number of names have already been anticipated to arrive in Gainesville, and Swamp247 has been monitoring the names anticipated in the community. That list is trackable HERE. Elijah Gryphon, a five-star defensive lineman from Savannah, Georgia Christian Prep and the third-ranked prospect in the class of 2025, is another name that is anticipated to be in the area this weekend.

Assuming Gryphon arrives as anticipated, this will be the Gators’ first opportunity to see him on the campus. He’s previously made arrangements to travel to The Swamp, but those plans ultimately fell through. It has taken a team effort to bring down the 285-pound, 6-foot-5 player some time around the talented defender.

The sixth On Saturday afternoon, Tennessee will host Alabama at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Centre in a matchup between two of the top SEC basketball programmes. ESPN2 will broadcast the tip-off at 2:00 p.m. ET, with play-by-play commentator Karl Ravech and analyst Jimmy Dykes in the horn.

The last eight meetings between Tennessee and Alabama have ended in a draw, with the Crimson Tide winning three of the most recent four after the Vols had won three of the previous four. The series has had single-digit decisions in eight of the last nine games, including the last six.
