For the Sky Blues in the middle of the park in recent years, Sheaf, 26, has been an important player.

According to Robins and the official club website, Ben will be out for a period of six to eight weeks. Although unfortunate, things are as they are.

Sheaf is a valuable asset to Coventry, therefore his absence for the next two months is a setback.

In 2020, he signed a loan deal with the Sky Blues, which later became a permanent move.

The Kent native has made 132 appearances for his current club in all competitions, contributing nine goals and nine assists.

The former West Ham youth player was signed by Arsenal for seven years and made three appearances in the top team before moving to the CBS Arena.

In order to gain more experience, he also had loan stints at Stevenage and Doncaster Rovers away from the Emirates Stadium.

According to a TEAMtalk article from January, Luton Town was linked to him, but that never came to fruition.

Sheaf has a contract with Coventry that runs through June 2026. His primary concern in the interim will be getting back to the action as soon as it’s safe to do so.

The Sky Blues are one point outside of the playoffs and currently occupy seventh place in the standings. But Hull City and West Brom are currently playing each other.

Against Norwich City on the road, Robins’ team lost 2-1 over the weekend. For them, Callum O’Hare scored.
