Following his incredible 2023 season, J’maine Hopgood has been selected to play for the Indigenous All Stars for the second consecutive year. Before becoming a fan favorite at the Eels, he made a strong debut for the Indigenous All Stars during their victory in Rotorua last year.

Kennedy Cherrington, the co-captain of the NRLW, is scheduled to play for the Māori All Stars for the third time in a row. She will line up next to Zali Fay, an Eels teammate, once more.

Three Eels play for the Indigenous Women’s team: Taneka Todhunter, who is making her debut, winger Monique Donovan, and just re-signed Mahalia Murphy.

Both matches will be played at Queensland Country Bank Stadium next Friday 16 February, with the Women’s match kicking off at 5:50pm ahead of the Men’s match at 8:10pm (both AEDT).
