A significant boost has been given to West Ham ahead of their London derby against Arsenal on Sunday.

This season, West Ham has already triumphed over rivals Arsenal twice. West Ham supporters are anxious for a triple after their two incredibly memorable victories, 3-1 and 2-0. Although it appears unlikely that East London would defeat North again given both teams’ previous results, injuries might tip the scales in the host’s favor.

Thomas Partey, a strong midfield player for the Gunners, has missed much of the season due to injury, and even though he is close to playing again, it is unlikely that he will be fit for Sunday’s match. Rice and Partey together in the middle of the field is something Arsenal hasn’t really experienced yet.

Furthermore, Oleksander Zinchenko, a dynamic midfielder/defender, was substituted off against Liverpool last weekend due to a calf ailment. He has repeatedly experienced problems due to the same injury. He might or might not be able to play in the London Derby, but if not, it will be a huge loss.

David Moyes likes to conjure up scenarios regarding injuries, even though he indicated that Lucas Paqueta and Michail Antonio would both be out. In a crucial game for both teams, our Irons may have the advantage if one of them returns.

A decision in the case of Lucas Paqueta’s alleged violation of betting regulations is expected shortly.

Lucas Paqueta of West Ham was being linked to questionable betting patterns surrounding repeated yellow cards in August, just before Manchester City was supposed to make an offer for the Brazilian. This led the FA to launch a thorough inquiry into the claims.

Since then, not much has been spoken about the situation, and Paqueta has continued to play a key role for the Hammers this season as he always does. The midfield player gave the FA his phone, which is the only significant update.

In any case, West Ham is not going to be happy that a decision has been made. If the jury finds him guilty, the minimum punishment will probably be suspension; if the jury finds him not guilty, City will have the opportunity to retry him. The club would have preferred for this to continue for as long as possible, but eventually it had to end.
