Bijan Robinson, a former running back for the Texas Longhorns, and Raheem Morris, the new head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, are quickly becoming close.

One of the key players for the emerging Atlanta Falcons, who were in contention to win the NFC South and host a Wild Card playoff game, is Bijan Robinson. Although Robinson was selected as an Offensive Rookie of the Year finalist, many supporters believed that head coach Arthur Smith wasn’t making the best use of him.In response to the dismal performance, Atlanta’s front staff sacked Smith and appointed Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris as the team’s new head coach.

It’s always important to make sure a franchise icon like Robinson approves of the hiring. Robinson is one of those guys you’d never hear complaining about his coaches, but he made it apparent during an interview on “Up & Adams” that he and Morris are off to a great start initially.

“I was already ready to meet him, go on the field, and run through a brick wall,” Robinson said.

Atlanta selected Robinson, 22, with the eighth overall choice in the 2023 NFL Draft. In 2022, during his last season at Texas, he received the Doak Walker Award after setting a national record with 1,894 total scrimmage yards (1,580 rushing, 314 receiving) and being second in terms of total touchdowns (20). During the regular season, he also led the Big 12 in carries (258), running yards (1,580), and rushing touchdowns (18).

Robinson gained 976 yards and four touchdowns on 214 carries in his debut campaign with the Falcons. In addition, he scored four additional touchdowns and 487 receiving yards on 58 catches.

These stats might be even more impressive the next season if Robinson is utilized by Morris like the franchise running back he is.
