Bruno currently has three goals for the season, and he plans to add more before the end of play. And after giving Eddie Howe a stern warning with his performance on Saturday night, he might get the opportunity to do that.
Bruno was not engaged in any of the Newcastle’s possession-dominating moments in the first half. Instead, he was attempting to get the ball in a position from where he could injure Forest by standing in between the lines.
And he really hurt them, as Newcastle won all three points thanks to his two goals.
Bruno has expressed his desire to play further up the field numerous times. The Brazil international is compelled to sit deeper since Newcastle lacks a viable option in the “six,” despite his desire to be a more attacking and versatile “eight.”
On Saturday night, though, Bruno had no restrictions and was able to make a crucial difference by getting on the ball in the final third.
He helped create a goal in the 4–4 tie with Luton Town, giving him three goal contributions in two games so far. Additionally, Bruno played higher up the pitch, further demonstrating Howe’s need to play him there on a regular basis.
