Semi Ajayi opens West Bromwich Albion account in Fulham draw | Goal.com NigeriaThe albion combo of Semi Ajayi and Grady Diangana were instrumental in their countries’ AFCON victories over the weekend, securing a spot in the competition’s quarterfinals for both DR Congo and Nigeria.

Playing the entire 90 minutes in the Super Eagles’ 2-0 triumph over Cameroon on Saturday night, Ajayi maintained his constant presence in the center of defense.

After the Egyptian goalie’s initial attempt struck the crossbar, goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi scored in sudden death to secure his country’s spot in the quarterfinals.

On Friday night, the Albion team will play their next matches at The Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium (5 p.m. KO) when Nigeria plays Angola and The Ebimpé Olympic Stadium (8 p.m. KO) when DR Congo plays Guinea.
