After tearing his ACL in early November, the Giants are optimistic that Daniel Jones will be ready to play in Week 1. He has been receiving rehab treatment on a regular basis at the team facilities, and although he isn’t moving very much just yet, he is reportedly progressing well.

Jones is promised $35.5 million in total in 2024; after that, the guarantees are limited to injuries. The Giants would probably need to trade up in order to select one of the best quarterbacks in April because they are positioned No. 6 in the draft order.

This past fall, general manager Joe Schoen was present at a few games featuring those passers, such as the USC-Washington game that had both Caleb Williams and Michael Penix Jr. Observe Big Blue to see whether they attempt to vie for the top spot in the draft.

Expect big changes at the quarterback position in Pittsburgh following two years of Kenny Pickett, Mitchell Trubisky, and Mason Rudolph sharing the same room.

Although Trubisky still has two seasons left on his contract, he might be cut shortly since he has a $1 million roster bonus that is due on March 15 and no more guaranteed money. After spending six seasons with the team that selected him in the third round of the 2018 draft, Rudolph, who becomes a free agent next month, has shown an interest in starting over. After recuperating from a significant ankle sprain, Pickett sat behind Rudolph late in the season and during the playoffs. He will go into the summer as QB1 once more, although head coach Mike Tomlin has stated clearly

It is anticipated that Pittsburgh would look into acquiring free agent Ryan Tannehill, who had his finest years with the Titans under new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith.

Packers in Green Bay
Jordan Love is set to become Green Bay’s franchise quarterback, seemingly resolving the team’s biggest quarterback conundrum in years.

Everything that has gone wrong around Packers QB Jordan Love ...

Love has demonstrated that he can seamlessly make the switch from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers to Love by leading them into the playoffs and gaining the organization’s faith in the second part of the season. All that’s left is to pay him like a franchise passer.

Before the 2023 season, the Packers worked out a stopgap agreement with Love, giving him a $22.5 million one-year extension through 2024 and a raise in 2023 before Green Bay had to exercise Love’s fifth-year option. Since the agreement was reached in May, his contract won’t likely be changed again until May of this year.

It is anticipated that the Packers will be open to talking to Love about a new, fair-market contract that compensates him like a real starter. It makes obvious because QB trades typically occur in June, just before the start of training camp. Love, who is still only 25 years old, is about to receive his first significant salary.
