Despite the outrage of West Ham United supporters following their 6-0 loss to Arsenal last weekend, the manager of the squad denies any notion that his team has not been excellent value for money this season.

“There are other ways to lose football games, but that method was appalling. I was sympathetic to David Moyes. That isn’t his group. Today, they disappointed him.”
The way the Hammers gave up their fifth was one instance Merson was very upset about. Emerson pursues the right-back after being tricked by Ben White’s false run, leaving Saka alone to face Nayef Aguerd. The seventh player for Arsenal defeated.
