A Kent County judge was informed by a parliamentary procedure expert that, in his opinion, the meeting in which slightly over one-third of the Michigan Republican Party’s state committee voted to remove chair Kristina Karamo was “validly held” and Karamo was removed in a proper manner.

In 2023, Sarah and Zach Cox decided to have a chilli walk in an effort to establish a wintertime event that would encourage people to wander through downtown Paw Paw businesses.
The small community west of Kalamazoo had an estimated 4,000 people attend the inaugural annual festival, which encouraged the pair to expand even farther in the following year.
