They will take on the Dallas Mavericks when they return to action following the All-Star break tomorrow night.

“It’s go time,” Suns’ star guard Devin Booker said after the All-Star Game Sunday. “It’s time to turn it up a little bit and just compete at the highest level … remain and stay healthy. Just want to peak at the right time. You want to play the right basketball and just keep getting better and keep getting better before the playoffs.”

Throughout the season, Phoenix has fluctuated a lot, starting the season as the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference and finishing between the No. 9 and 10 spots. Coach Frank Vogel stated that the Suns’ Christmas Day loss to Dallas was when the squad began to gel. Since then, the club has gone 19-7 to secure this five-seed.

The season has seen little change from the top four teams in the West (Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder, Los Angeles Clippers, and Denver Nuggets), but given their recent play, the Suns may make a late push to catch up.

If the season were to end today, Phoenix would play the defending-champion Nuggets in the first round. The Suns are a full three games back from Denver.

The Suns have been playing well, but they still have a difficult task ahead of them. Tankathon claims that the Suns’ remaining schedule for their next 27 games is by far the hardest in the NBA. Suns record versus teams is 15–15.500 or above thus far, and they still have 19 games left against clubs that are at this level.

The schedules of the teams that are ahead of the Suns are all significantly easier; Minnesota is ranked No. 20, the Thunder are ranked No. 24, the Clippers are ranked No. 7, and the Nuggets are ranked No. 23.

The Suns’ final ten games of the season are listed below, along with the current record and standings of their opponents. Prior to, Phoenix will play virtually every elite playoff team.
