The announcement that Boubacar Kamara had torn the ligaments in his right knee was devastating for both the team and the midfield player, who had emerged as one of Aston Villa’s most important players under Unai Emery.

The former Marseille player would have to miss the Euros, which he had hoped to play in with France, and the Villans would have to make due without a crucial component of their season, which had been going so well.

According to RMC Sport, the 24-year-old Aston Villa player underwent surgery in Lyon and will undoubtedly miss the remainder of the season.

He is expected to go absent for the next eight months, with a return date of September at the latest. This is the first stage of a “long process.”
Everything hinges on how soon the Aston Villa player’s body heals, particularly considering Unai Emery has previously said he might not be back until October.

After spending the previous 17 years of his life playing for Marseille, where he went through the ranks before fully integrating the first squad in 2017, Kamara signed a free move to the Premier League franchise in July of 2022.
