LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — One of the district’s teachers has been taken into custody by the Clark County School District Police Department.
On Wednesday, Rima Villaret, 59, was placed under arrest.
At C.V.T. Gilbert Elementary School, Villaret is an Early Childhood/Special Education specialist teacher. She started working with the District in July 2016.
Three charges of child abuse or neglect, three counts of battery on a vulnerable person, and one act of false detention were brought against Villaret and he was taken to the Clark County Detention Center.
She will be assigned to home and will not be allowed on campus until further notice.
TND: MALVERN, PA — Three kid victims were allegedly sexually assaulted by a teenage police officer over the course of eight years.
Earlier this month, Tyler Humphreys’ arrest was revealed by authorities outside of Philadelphia.
The 21-year-old was assigned as a school resource officer and worked full-time as an officer in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania. Humphreys worked part-time in Folcroft, which is nearby.
The inquiry was first initiated last month after a required reporter, a teacher, contacted Pennsylvania State Police over “an ongoing course of sexual assaults from 2014 to 2018.” The claims extend back to last year.
Troopers learned that first alleged victim, who was 9 years old, “was forced to perform oral sex on multiple occasions.” Humphries was also underage at the time.
Then, a second person reported sexual assaults involving another alleged victim. According to the report, Humphries gave a 15-year-old girl alcohol and “moved her into a bedroom, removed her clothing, and then raped her” while she was unconscious. Humphries was an adult at the time.
Troopers later investigated after a third alleged victim reported Humphries sexually assaulted her in late November and early December 2022. She was 19 at the time and said she woke up to find Humphries sleeping next to her, wearing only underwear, and “she immediately had vaginal pain that she did not experience prior to falling asleep.”
