Head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Mike McCarthy, has declared that he will not be going to the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis the following week. Instead, he wants to work with defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer to establish the staff and make adjustments to the defensive strategy. McCarthy clarified that the choice to stay in The Star, the Cowboys’ headquarters, was based on factors such as workload capacity and time efficiency.

McCarthy and Zimmer intend to spend a full week together at The Star, covering a lot of material about the team’s ongoing developments, despite their absence from the combine. McCarthy underlined that they can still take an active part in the combine process by holding meetings and video conferences, which allows them to be in direct contact with their coaches as they attend the Indianapolis event.

Last year, McCarthy missed the combine due to adjustments being made to the offensive scheme in his inaugural season as the play-caller for the Cowboys. Although he briefly flew to Indianapolis to meet with the media, McCarthy promptly returned to The Star to collaborate with offensive coaches on alterations that contributed to the Cowboys leading the league in scoring during the 2023 season.

While McCarthy and Zimmer won’t physically attend the combine, they will engage in interview sessions with players via computer and stay informed about draft prospects through available workout tapes. Despite their absence, the Cowboys’ coaching staff remains actively involved in the scouting and evaluation process as they prepare for the upcoming NFL draft.

When Earl Thomas’s wife saw him undressed and with another woman, she held him at gunpoint and said, “It P***Es Me Off That It Got Out.”

Former standout safety, Earl Thomas started his NFL career after being drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in 2010. His time with the Seahawks included a Super Bowl victory in 2014. After nine seasons with Seattle, he joined the Baltimore Ravens, earning Pro Bowl honors in his first season.

In April 2020, an ex-Seattle Seahawks star was involved in a highly controversial incident. Allegedly, Thomas was held at gunpoint by his then-wife, Nina Thomas, who discovered him and his brother, Seth Thomas, in bed with other women. Nina’s arrest followed the incident and made headlines.

The situation occurred in Austin, Texas, when the police responded to a domestic disturbance call at 3:41 a.m. on April 13. Upon arrival, they witnessed a woman, later identified as Nina, wielding a knife, chasing a shirtless black man, Earl Thomas, who was armed with a pistol around a car.

In response, the police drew their weapons, instructed the couple to drop their weapons, and ordered them to the ground.

Earl Thomas explained to the police that he had been romantically involved with a woman at the rental home where the dispute occurred. He clarified that he was working on his relationship with his wife but had a heated argument with her about his alcohol consumption.

Earl called his brother, Seth, to pick him up, and they returned to the rental home with two women. While in bed with one of the women, Nina, along with two other women, Seth Thomas’ ex-wife, Camisha Garlow, and Nina Thomas’ sister, Kayla Baham-Heisser entered the room. Nina pointed a gun at Earl, and a struggle ensued in the hallway. Earl managed to take the gun and called the police.

Nina corroborated Earl’s account, stating she became suspicious, checked his Snapchat, and found videos with another woman. She enlisted help to confront Earl, bringing his pistol with the intent to scare him. When she discovered him in bed with other women, she held the gun to his head, intending to disengage the safety. However, she was unaware the gun had a round in the chamber.

Video evidence recorded by Nina’s sister showed her holding the gun close to Earl’s head. Seth attempted to restrain his ex-wife from assaulting the woman he was dating. Earl’s mistress reported that Nina threatened her and the other woman, yelling, “I got something for all you hoes.”

Earl Thomas was disappointed that the whole ‘held at gunpoint’ incident was released by TMZ in May 2020. He expressed annoyance and

“So my agent just hit me and said that I’m going to be on TMZ tomorrow from an altercation that happened with me and Nina,” he said. “Just wanted to get ahead of it. It’s really not anybody’s business. It pisses me off that it got out, but it’s the world we live in today.”

Nina Thomas was arrested on charges of burglary of a residence with intent to commit aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Nina Garlow and Baham-Heisser were arrested on burglary charges. Nina was released on $25,000 bond, Garlow on $15,000, and Baham-Heisser on $10,000.
