The Phoenix Suns are getting some tough news. Suns guard Bradley Beal is still not ready to play due to some problems with his hamstring, per Phoenix Sports. Beal will miss the team’s game Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Vogel stated, “You have to be careful with soft tissue stuff,” according to Phoenix Sports. For the Suns, Beal has been sidelined since he was injured during a game against the Sacramento Kings on February 13. This year, Beal has also been dealing with a nasal issue.

Phoenix and head coach Vogel undoubtedly hope the veteran can get back on the court quickly. For the Suns this season, Beal is averaging 18 points per game while making roughly 50% of his shots from the field. He has made 30 appearances for the squad. He played with the Washington Wizards for a number of years before moving to Phoenix.

The Suns are fighting for playoff position in the NBA’s Western Conference. The team is eighth in the West, with a 33-24 record. The team has lost two games in a row. Phoenix will have to continue relying on Kevin Durant for offense, without Beal in the lineup. Durant is having an excellent season, passing Carmelo Anthony on the NBA career points list while averaging 28 points a game.
