Longtime former Dallas wide receiver Jesse Holley explained why he believes Micah Parsons isn’t given the opportunity to openly influence the team’s decision-making in a recent episode of the Bleav in the Dallas Cowboys podcast. In short, Parsons is too inexperienced.

Throughout his three pro seasons out of Penn State, Parsons has already been selected to two All-Pro teams and a Pro Bowl, and he has not shied away from supporting specific free agency additions. He argued for the addition of a powerful interior lineman and a bigger linebacker in a talk with Stephen A. Smith.

Holley said, “By the end of Year Three, you just do not have enough mental understanding of everything going around you.” This isn’t all that horrible. Additionally, I believe that occasionally the other players assume everything will work out since they simply need to grab a name or something else. It’s not real life, you know. This is not insane. I tell them, “You’ll have five years under your belt if you don’t have a hundred games under your belt.”

Just use caution. Commence discussing your thought process on who, what, where, and when on your side of the football. Simply put, I don’t believe Micah has gained sufficient knowledge to be able to make an informed decision about

“I’m just looking at just this common sense, like, right. Like, if you had a choice in an experience, if I’m having life or death surgery, I kind of want the guy who’s done it a couple of times before, right? I don’t want the new surgeon that I was out of residency for my open heart surgery,” Holley said. “I want the guy who maybe has a hundred of these things under his belt, you know, same then a guy who just got to med school yesterday.”
