Brendan Rodgers regrets Celtic 'hurt' and vows not to break latest contract | Celtic | The GuardianI’ve been missing for the past few days because I had to have surgery, which I had been putting off.
It’s finished now, but I had plenty of opportunity to consider Celtic’s current standing in my mind while I was in the hospital.
-ADVERTISEMENT- After reading a lot and listening to podcasts, I had an idea.
It’s not as absurd as you may think, and the more I gave it some thought, the more sense it seemed to make.

It’s been abundantly evident for some time now that Celtic lacks any sort of long-term planning or strategy.
KEEPING THE IBROX CLUB AT BAY SEEMS TO BE THE SOLE DISTINCTIVE STRATEGY AT CELTIC.
Considering where we are in the league table right now, even that tactic seems dubious.

When it comes to Europe, there is no strategy at all, It has been a while since there was.

Maybe, just maybe, we may have shown some ambition on the European front if we had been able to keep Ange Postecoglou on staff.

However, we didn’t, and it appears that Brendan Rodgers was once again duped over our aspirations to go to Europe.

It’s evident that the fan base currently needs clarifications.

It’s obvious that we are interested in learning about the club’s future plans, if any ,

And that’s probably the main reason they are so disconnected from the fanbase.

In an  a few weeks back, I pointed out how old they are.

Almost all of them are of pensionable age.

They are out of ideas, and stuck in an “if it ain’t broke, then don’t fix it” mentality.

But the problem is, that mentality is outdated, and of no use anymore.
