Weeks after taking on a Sixth Man position with the Warriors, the guard said in an interview with Sam Amick of The Athletic that he plans to finish his playing career a few days before making his 40th circumnavigation while he waits for a possible contract extension with Golden State.

Indeed, even though Thompson is eager to hang up his sneakers with Golden State, he will not barricade himself off from accepting offers from other teams before he hangs up his sneakers. That starts this summer.
