Omar Khan: 'Nothing' will hold Steelers back from improving via free agencyPittsburgh Due to a tragedy in his family, Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan’s media availability at the NFL Combine has been postponed, a team spokeswoman confirmed. Khan was scheduled to meet the media on Tuesday at 10:30 am, covering the team’s NFL Draft status, recent roster changes, and the appointment of new offensive coaches. Earlier in the week, he was scheduled to have a private conversation with members of the local media.

Khan’s availability is to be determined at this point. It has not been ruled out that he can speak later in the week. The remainder of the week will be devoted to the Steelers scouting each participant at the Combine. Prospects will have private sessions with head coach Mike Tomlin and his scouting team before they go to Lucas Oil Stadium to witness workouts from Wednesday through Saturday. Pittsburgh has a ton of storylines to monitor this week, but these five are probably still the most important ones. These include the quarterbacks they are speaking with, the offensive lineman they are concentrating on, and the positions of the other quarterbacks on their draft board.

Pittsburgh Even though they sincerely think Kenny Pickett will be that player, the Pittsburgh Steelers are still looking for Ben Roethlisberger’s replacement. One name, though, has been likened to Big Ben and is rising up the boards as a result, so for those who are waiting patiently and hope the team makes a splash in the NFL Draft for another elite passer.

Drake Maye, a quarterback from North Carolina, is presumably ranked too high on most draft boards for the Steelers to pursue him. However, that hasn’t prevented many from talking about him as the next Big Ben. Throughout the draft process, he’s been compared to the eventual Hall of Famer, so maybe he’s not the success.
