Everton is allegedly focused on summer goals to bolster Sean Dyche’s team, following the announcement that their points deduction has been lowered from the original ten to just six.

The Toffees are currently five points clear of the Premier League relegation zone and, for the time being, can consider summer recruits while they wait for the result of their second Financial Fair Play charge.

The Premier League Commission, acting independently, deducted 10 points from Everton’s record in November. Everton can now confirm that the Appeal Board has determined that the deduction should be reduced to six points, effective immediately. Although the Club is still processing the Appeal Board’s ruling, we are happy that our appeal led to a decrease in the penalty points.

“We understand the Appeal Board considered the 10-point deduction originally imposed to be inappropriate when assessed against the available benchmarks of which the Club made the Commission aware, including the position under the relevant EFL regulations, and the 9-point deduction that is imposed under the Premier League’s own rules in the event of insolvency.”

That being said, Festy Ebosele, who can play anywhere up the right wing, is a player that Everton is reportedly considering signing. This is according to Udinese Blog. The Udinese wide player is apparently highly regarded by Goodison Park’s club executives, who are in competition with Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United, Watford, and West Ham United for his signature.
