Prior to the summer transfer window, Nottingham Forest is still interested in Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.

Caoimhin Kelleher is wanted by Nottingham Forest from Liverpool.
It seems that acquiring a goalkeeper remains a top priority throughout the summer transfer season.

The Daily Mail claims that Forest is still interested in Kelleher and that, should they stay in the Premier League, they may make another approach for him.

During the January transfer window, he was established as the team’s top target, but Liverpool refused to give up and was committed to keeping him.

The massive Anfield team may contemplate selling him in the summer, but they are hoping to receive about £25 million for his services.

With Alisson Becker out until after the international break, Kelleher is currently the top player.

Forest signed Matz Sels from Strasbourg in January and he will be the number one goalkeeper for the remainder of this season.

Caoimhin Kelleher is destined for a life as Liverpool back-up but that is no bad thing

Nuno Espirito Santo is a huge fan of Kelleher, however, according to the reports and he’d love to bring him to Forest.

Kelleher would make a fantastic addition to City Ground.
The 25-year-old will be itching for a regular game of football, and a summer transfer away from Liverpool seems likely.

During his most recent stint with Liverpool, Kelleher has been playing well.

He made nine saves and played a key role in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final victory over Chelsea, according to Who Scored.

The goalkeeping staff at Forest still requires some strengthening, and to be honest, the entire season has been a complete mess.

The player would undoubtedly be drawn to Kelleher if he were to play as Forest’s top player for a long time.

Forest must first ensure that they stay in the Premier League before attempting to succeed again.
