Last season, running back J.K. Dobbins of the Baltimore Ravens sustained his second season-ending injury in his short NFL career.

Due to a meniscus injury sustained in Week 1 versus Houston, Dobbins missed the entire 2021 season. He also missed nearly all of 2023 due to an Achilles tear.

Five months and more after the injury, Dobbins is making progress in his rehabilitation.

Dobbins uploaded a video of himself sprinting on Thursday, looking to be moving smoothly in a straight line.

Sadly for Dobbins, this season-ending injury occurred during a contract year and will probably hurt his chances of getting a better deal.

Dobbins has only appeared in 24 of the 67 games that might be played in his four seasons with the Ravens. He has not been the model of consistency that organisations want, particularly at the running back position.

The NFL has already devalued the position, and an athlete isn’t much help to a team if he can’t stay healthy.

Due to the injury, he most likely won’t be signing a deal as large as he would have if he had participated in the entire 2023 season and remained healthy. However, it appears that he is moving closer to recovering and returning to the pitch in 2024.
