Alan Hutton claims that even though Ezri Konsa has resumed first-team training, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery would remain with the same team that defeated Nottingham Forest against Luton Town.

On Saturday, March 2, Villa travels to Kenilworth Road in an attempt to improve on their thrilling 4-2 victory against Forest in their previous match and raise their chances of qualifying for the Champions League this year.

Konsa’s return to first-team practice this week has given Emery’s team hope. The England international has missed Villa’s previous four games due to an injury he suffered during their 5-0 thumping of Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Although most would anticipate the 26-year-old to return right away to the Villans’ defense against the Hatters on Saturday, Hutton believes Emery doesn’t need to make many changes to the team that defeated Forest 3-0.

“I believe it won’t be too far off,” Hutton stated to Villa News.

If everyone is fit, he usually makes one or two alterations and doesn’t really stray from his previous game plan.

“I believe Luton will be a huge test, particularly at Kenilworth Road, where it’s always been challenging.” People are aware of how difficult it is to visit that location and obtain all three points.

When Aston Villa and Unai Emery take on Luton Town, will Ezri Konsa make his debut?
At Villa Park, injuries have ripped through Emery’s backline in recent weeks. Players like Tyrone Mings, Diego Carlos, Konsa, and Pau Torres have all missed significant time of the season due to various ailments.

Though few defenders in the Premier League have been as dependable and constant as Konsa, 26, has been this season, both at center-back and even as a right-back, his return will be a great boost to the Spanish boss.

It would greatly increase Villa’s prospects of being in the top four this season if he can keep up his current form and avoid injuries until the end of the campaign.

In other Aston Villa news, Hutton believes Emery will convince Inter Milan to sign Denzel Dumfries as a “statement” signing this summer.
