Kevin Durant has already said that he will compete for Team USA in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. As the all-time leading scorer in the history of Team USA basketball, Durant is eager to break yet another record.

But during the Olympics, he wants the globe to keep one thing in mind. Furthermore, it is not a personal achievement. But to declare to the world that the United States basketball team is the best in the world.

Durant and his agent Rich Kleiman were having a Boardroom interview titled 35 on 35. Kleiman questioned Durant about his motivation for the impending Olympics in Paris during their conversation. Durant stated

Plus, everything has to do with our departure time. I just want to emphasize how strong of a player our team is. like 40 or 50 points to win. That’s what I want to do.

The NBA is the best basketball league in the world, and Durant stressed that Team USA is made up of the best players in the league. He wants to take advantage of this chance to remind everyone who the greatest is, especially with so much skill at their disposal.

The great player for the Phoenix Suns will compete in his fourth Olympics. Additionally, he has the opportunity to overtake all other medallists with four Olympic gold medals. Durant would rather see Team USA shut down every other nation, even though he would like to achieve that exclusive position. He is aware that in recent years, a number of other national basketball teams have nearly reached the NBA level.

Kevin Durant wants to dominate in the Olympics and beat other countries by 40-50 points

“I want to really make a statement on how dominant our players are. Like 40, 50-point wins. I want to do that.”

The latest example was during last year’s world cup. The embarrassment led superstars like Durant to commit to the Olympics. Durant wants to team up with his fellow superstars to remind everyone of who the gold standard in basketball is.

In the Paris Olympics of 2024, can Kevin Durant and Team USA defeat opponents by 40–50 points?
FIBA World Cup results revealed that Team USA’s fourth-place performance left the NBA’s top players unhappy. LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant began enlisting the best NBA players for the Olympics. The intention was to restore confidence in Team USA and, as Durant stated in the interview, to remind everyone of whose nation leads the world in hoops.

Along with Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday, Devin Booker, and Durant, James, and Curry are lock-ins. Five spaces remain from the 41-man pool that Team USA drew earlier this month. And there are a ton of options available to them. The top players in the league will be among those that make the list.

Therefore, when this caliber of skill faces off against the rest of the globe, Kevin Durant’s wish might come true. They could restore the amount of respect that Team USA basketball had during the Dream Team period with the Olympic Gold.
