The Baltimore Orioles undoubtedly had no clue that by 2024 they would have won their division, won over 100 games, and had the best record in the American League when they embarked on their massive deconstruction rebuilding process.

Even more remarkable is the fact that this happened in a single season.

There’s even more cause to be optimistic, given that many of the Orioles’ outstanding prospects in their pipeline—selected as a result of their rebuilding strategy—haven’t yet reached the major leagues.

There are major expectations placed upon this team for this season.

It’s hard not to look at them as one of the favorites to represent the AL for the World Series, especially after adding a legitimate ace in Corbin Burnes.

But, based on the aforementioned talent that persists throughout their organization, there is pressure on Baltimore to perform at high levels for a long time.

Inside The $1.7 Billion Sale Of The Baltimore Orioles

The Orioles have a wealth of talent, which is excellent news.

So much so that, in about five years, Bleacher Report’s Brandon Scott believes they have three players who have the potential to be the best in the league.

The three will most likely not surprise anyone.

Scott includes superstar prospect Jackson Holliday, Gunnar Henderson, the winner of the AL Rookie of the Year award from the previous season, and Adley Rutschman, the runner-up for 2022 AL Rookie of the Year and one of the greatest catchers in baseball.

Once more, this is not shocking, but it does highlight the potential for this team to be very good going forward.

Holliday recently turned 20 years old, Henderson is 22 years old, and Rutschman is 26.

In addition, their farm system contains a plethora of players who have the potential to be Major League stars in addition to this group.

Baltimore baseball is having a great moment right now.
