former Louisville quarterbacks playing in the postseason. Lamar Jackson is leading Baltimore, while Malik Cunningham is a reserve for the Ravens. A few weeks ago, Teddy Bridgewater, a reserve quarterback for the Detroit Lions, announced his retirement.

At 3:00 pm on CBS, the AFC title game featuring Jackson leading Baltimore against the Kansas City Chiefs will kick off the weekend’s events. The NFL championship game between Detroit and San Francisco will air on Fox at 6:30 p.m.

Since the Colts were based there and Johnny Unitas, another legendary player from UofL, was starting in the middle, this is the first time the AFC Championship game has been held in Baltimore. The Colts, led by Unitas, overcame the Oakland Raiders in 1971 to go to Super Bowl V, where they triumphed over Dallas. The wait is 53 years long.

Jackson led the Baltimore team to the top seed in the AFC. The 2016 Heisman Trophy winner passed for 307 of 457 yards for 3,678 yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions while also rushing for 821 yards and five scores on 148 runs, helping Baltimore to an 11-4 regular season record. He was chosen as the AFC Player of the Month to round off the regular season.

Even so, Jackson, who won the 2019 NFL MVP award, has only won one playoff game while playing for Baltimore. For some, Jackson’s post-season success—or lack thereof—is a topic worth talking about. In light of this, Jackson acknowledges in an interview with Tom Brady and Jim Grey for the “Let’s Go podcast” that he is still motivated to disprove his detractors.

I do, in fact, carry that grudge,” Jackson declared. “That chip is still on my shoulder since I haven’t yet achieved what I set out to do. That Super Bowl is what I desire. That is the honour that I so much desire. We have the team, I think, to pull it off. We already have everything we need in the building, including coaches, trainers and equipment guys.”

Last week, in the NFL Division Round matchup with Houston, Jackson led the Ravens to a 34-10 victory by completing 16 of 22 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns in addition to rushing for 100 yards and two scores on 11 carries. Jackson achieved another first during the game against the Texans, becoming the first player in NFL history to record two touchdowns passing, two touchdowns rushing, rush for at least 100 yards, and have at least a 100.0 passer rating during a regular season or postseason.

Additionally, Malik Cunningham is a member of the Ravens’ postseason active roster.

The favourite is Baltimore by four points.

Baltimore received a bye for the first round of the NFL playoffs as the top seed in the AFC. After San Francisco, the Ravens are currently the second-best favourite to win the Super Bowl with odds of +180. The third-best team is the Chiefs (+350).

San Francisco 49ers vs. Detroit Lions

Teddy Bridgewater, a reserve quarterback for the Lions, is starting his last postseason game. A few weeks ago, the legendary player from UofL, who only made one appearance this season, announced his retirement.

Bridgewater declared last month, “Whatever was meant for me, it played out the exact way it was meant.” “And I’m still with that mindset every day and I’m just really appreciative that I’m in Year 10, I tell everyone this is my last year, so I’m in my final year and I’m just enjoying it all, man.”

Throughout his career, Bridgewater has only participated in one postseason game. In a 2015 wild-card game against Seattle, he got the start for Minnesota and completed 146 yards of passing in a defeat.
