Daniel Farke: Norwich aiming to become permanent member of Premier League | Football News | Sky SportsThe long-term status of Joe Rodon, a center-back on a dry loan from Tottenham, is one concern that accompanies Leeds United’s promotion push. Brian Deane has voiced his opinions.

The 26-year-old Rodon has likely been our best acquisition under Daniel Farke. While Glen Kamara, Ilia Gruev, and Ethan Ampadu have all been excellent, Rodon has undoubtedly had a greater influence at Leeds than any of them.

Having now made 37 appearances for Leeds, he has helped the team record 16 clean sheets. a stalwart in the defense, teaming with a variety of center backs including Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk, and Ampadu.

Rodon has stated that he would like to play for Leeds in the Premier League, thus Leeds will be eager to make his loan a permanent one. But in order to close a deal for Rodon, a promotion might be necessary.

For two reasons: first, Leeds might require Premier League funding in order to justify paying an eight-figure sum for Rodon. Additionally, the Premier League is considering him. Leeds has been urged to make a deal by Brian Deane.

“If he fits into the category of being good enough for the Premier League, then they should pay the money; £20m now is just an average price for a Premier League player. Having played in the team and having that chemistry helps justify the transfer fee, but he’s definitely in the shop window right now.

“Look at Ben White, he came up to Leeds and was an absolute superstar, went back to Brighton and then £50m later at Arsenal. It gives the player the opportunity, the parent club of the player the opportunity to have him in the shop window, and it’s a great position for everybody,” Deane
