Prominent pass rusher T.J. Watt made an appearance at the facility for some pre-Halloween festivities, along with his spouse Dani. Christian Kuntz, Pressley Harvin, Elijah Riley, and their partners also made an appearance to cheer up the patients at Children’s Home of Pittsburgh.
T.J. wed his girlfriend Dani Rhodes in a resort in Mexico in 2022. Rhodes, an All-American soccer player at Wisconsin, is a remarkable athlete in her own right. She is from Waukesha West High School, which is located in Waukesha County and is less than ten miles away, just like the brothers at Pewaukee.
Everyone dressed up for Friday’s visit, getting into the Halloween spirit. In their costumes, the Steelers players visited the patients’ rooms to bring them sweets. Riley dressed as Mickey Mouse, Harvin was an aviator, Kuntz dressed as Harry Potter, and Watt dressed as Scooby Doo.
Established in 1983, the Children’s Home of Pittsburgh is a self-governing, nonprofit organization registered by the state with the “mission to promote the health and well-being of infants and children through services that establish and strengthen the family,” as stated on their website.
Additionally, T.J. Watt and Dani Watt visited patients in a Pittsburgh facility on Friday for at least the second time. The Watts went to play games at UPMC Children’s Hospital in January.
“We appreciate TJ and Dani’s unwavering concern for our children and families,” the hospital wrote on Facebook following the visit.
On Sunday at Heinz Field, the Jaguars (5-2) take on the Steelers (4-2). The action can be seen on KDKA-TV, and the game begins at 1 p.m.
