Quarterback Mac Jones had an opportunity to succeed in the NFL under great head coach Bill Belichick following a brilliant collegiate career at the University of Alabama under legendary head coach Nick Saban.

Jones’ NFL career got off to a respectable start when he was selected to the Pro Bowl during his rookie campaign with the New England Patriots. He appeared to be the ideal quarterback, so things looked good going forward.

Regretfully, Jones’ career reached its zenith at that point; he struggled for the next two seasons and was never able to replicate his Pro Bowl performance.

In the end, Jones’ inability to return to playing competitive football led to his benching in favor of Bailey Zappe in New England.

Jones was transferred to the Jacksonville Jaguars over the weekend, and it looks like Zappe, his former teammate, was pleased with the transaction as he liked an NFL post on Instagram that Dov Kleiman shared with the news.
