Athens — The Georgia football team will on the practice field on Tuesday for the first time in 2024.Along with a large inflow of newbies led by Trevor Etienne and Ellis Robinson, there will be a mix of well-known names, including Carson Beck and Malaki Starks.Kirby Smart Georgia Bulldogs on speeding New Zealand rugby | 11alive.com

The Bulldogs have a long way to go before they even remotely resemble what they’ll look like against Clemson to start the 2024 season. Still, a big spring can go a long way for several key players on this year’s team.

In light of this, let’s examine a guy at each position who, should the club manage some solid spring practices, might be a huge asset.

Quarterback Ryan Puglisi, a rookie

Beck is back in the starting lineup. It appears like Gunner Stockton is the reliable backup quarterback. Puglisi is a mystery since he is adjusting to life in the SEC after attending private school in Connecticut.

Georgia attempted to add a quarterback through the transfer portal, and after spring practice, they might try again. Puglisi’s ability to pick things up quickly should help Georgia feel more at ease about any deep questions or worries it may have about the role.

Roderick Robinson, a redshirt freshman running back

Etienne, who is moving from Florida, may also be a solution in this situation. In 2024, he is anticipated to be among Georgia’s best playmakers.

However, we’ll side with Robinson in this case because he occasionally shown potential throughout his first campaign. A foot issue kept him out of action for the bulk of the year. But in 2024, Etienne won’t be expected to tow the full burden for Georgia; instead, the Bulldogs will be counting on Andrew Paul and Robinson to step up in spring.

Redshirt sophomore Branson Robinson is still healing from a knee injury he sustained in August, so don’t expect much from him.

Like running back, you could go with a transfer at this position. Georgia brought in three this offseason and many will be eager to see how Colbie Young, Michael Jackson III and London Humphreys mesh with the offense.
