Patriots Update: New England Taking a Look at Several Prominent Veterans
The Chargers want to go under the salary cap before the new league year starts on March 13 at 4 p.m. ET. Currently, they are $25 million over the cap.

Along with edge rushers Joey Bosa and  they Khalil  Mack, are also taking calls on wide receivers Mike Williams and Keenan Allen. All four players have large 2024 salary cap numbers, but New England might be willing to make a move at the appropriate price.

Bosa owes $17 million, Mack is owed $17.55 million, Allen is owed $18.1 million, and Williams is owing $17 million. They all have roster bonuses as well, ranging from $3 to $7 million.

The Patriots would undoubtedly be a better club with these playmakers and defenders. Williams has two seasons with 1,000 yards but is coming off an ACL tear.

Even though Allen will turn 32 in April, he is still a formidable playmaker. He hauled in 108 receptions for 1,243 receiving yards and seven scores in the previous campaign.

Mack just had one of his greatest seasons to date. The 2023 campaign saw the University at Buffalo product record a career-high 17 sacks along with five forced fumbles. Bosa, on the other hand, has suffered numerous injuries over the previous two seasons, but when he’s on the field, he can cause trouble.

The Patriots have taken a closer look at these high-end veterans, but who knows whether they will ever sign one of these players.

To increase their chances of winning the 2024 campaign, they must excel in this offseason. The Patriots are +2000 underdogs to win the AFC East, per FanDuel Sportsbook. Go to FanDuel Sportsbook and get your sign-up bonus if you want to lock in these odds.
