The wealth of money available to the New England Patriots allows them to keep their own players while also making strong acquisitions in the free agent market. That is precisely what took place on March 12.

Josh Uche, the edge, is leaving New England, according to Albert Breer. He will get a $3 million one-year contract with $8 million in incentive pay.

After being chosen in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Uche joined the Patriots. Uche is renowned for his athleticism as a defender who can bend to get past opponents.

The Michigan product has amassed 63 total tackles and 18.5 sacks in his four-year career, with 11.5 of those coming in the 2022 season.

In Matt Judon’s absence, he had a difficult season the previous year, but he should have a strong 2024 campaign. Between them, Judon and Uche secured a total of 27 sacks in 2022 while they were both on the field.

Now in command, Jerod Mayo tried to hold onto some of the players that were already in New England. That contributes to the culture’s development, and Uche was regarded highly.

To increase their chances of winning the 2024 campaign, they must excel in this offseason. The Patriots are +2000 underdogs to win the AFC East, per FanDuel Sportsbook. Go to FanDuel Sportsbook and get your sign-up bonus if you want to lock in these odds.
